TOURS
SELF GUIDED WALKING TOURS
Henry Hill: A mile long loop trail with four push button tape recorded messages and interpretive signs tell the story of the First Battle of Manassas.
First Manassas: A five mile long loop trail covers the ground that was contested on July 21, 1861.
Second Manassas: A five mile long loop trail crosses the key terrain of the three day long battle.
Blue disks mark interpretive and hiking trails, Yellow disks mark equestrian trails.
SELF GUIDED DRIVING TOUR
Second Manassas: This 12 mile driving tour is designed to cover 11 sites listed in the Park brochure that figured prominently in Second Manassas.
SPECIAL 5 MILE HIKES
- First Manassas: October 4, 2003 at 1:00 PM, Henry Hill Visitor Center.
- Second Manassas: October 18, 2003 at 1:00 PM, Henry Hill Visitor Center.
Park Volunteers will conduct the approximately 5-mile, 5-hour walking tours of the battlefields. The hike for the Battle of First Manassas will tour the field where amateur troops grappled for ten stubborn hours of savage combat on July 21, 1861. The Hike touring the battlefield of Second Manassas will trace the action which raged for two and a half days as veteran armies clashed August 28-30, 1862.
Reservations for these hikes are not required, and there will not be a separate charge for the Battlefield Hikes. Participants will be required to pay the $3 entrance fee or present an NPS pass if they are 17 years of age and older. Appropriate clothing and shoes should be worn, and carrying water during the hikes is recommended. The hikes will be offered rain or shine. EQUESTRIAN TRAILS
The Manassas Battlefield provides over 18 miles of developed equestrian trails for your riding enjoyment. You must provide your own mount (there are no horses available for rent or lease on the Battlefield).

FOR YOUR SAFETY and ENJOYMENT
While visiting Manassas National Battlefield please observe the following:
- All visitors age 17 and older must have a current Park pass.
- Climbing on cannons and monuments is not allowed.
- Pets must be kept on a leash.
- Please Picnic only at tables located at Stuart's Hill
- Both alcoholic beverages and hunting for relics are strictly forbidden.
- Hunting (poaching) is absolutely forbidden, and hunting licenses are not honored. Fishing is permitted with a current fishing license
- Park vehicles in designated areas only.
- All motorized vehicles must stay on established roadways and are prohibited on shoulders, grassy areas, and trails.
- Use caution riding bicycles on paved roads. Bicycles are prohibited on all trails.
